Description

Children of the Ku Klux Klan stand next to a burning cross and watch it go up in flames.
A caption from the Associated Press reads:
"Lads Watch Burning Cross: The symbol of the Klan. This fiery cross XXXX [sic] burned near York, PA. Sept. 19. Several hundred hooded men and women knelt in the closing ceremonies of the Ku Klux Klan state convention as the burning cross fell in ashes."
